What’s your money archetype?

-

‘Your dominant money types teach you lessons about where to focus or what to change to improve your relationship with money,’ says Marnita, who uses The Eight Money Types conceptualised by Deborah L Price, author of Money Magic: Unleashing Your True Potential for Prosperity and Fulfillment. This awareness can help you shift to a more empowered archetype. THE INNOCENT takes an ostrich approach to not have to see what’s going on around them. The Innocent is overwhelmed by financial information and relies on the advice and opinions of others. THE VICTIM tends to live in the past and blame financial woes on external factors. Passive-aggressive, they have a sense of entitlement and are looking for someone to rescue them – bailing them out financially, for example. THE MARTYR is a rescuer, and often expects reciprocity afterwards or feels let down. They’re often so busy taking care of others’ needs that they may neglect their own, including their finances. THE FOOL is a natural gambler, always seeking a windfall by taking financial shortcuts. Optimistic and fearless, they often win as they’re willing to take chances – but they lose too. THE CREATOR/ARTIST has a love-hate relationship with money, appreciating the freedom it buys but preferring not to deal with financial practicalities. They may erroneously consider money ‘unspiritual’. THE TYRANT uses money to control and manipulate people and circumstances, and often hoards money. Although they might be comfortable or wealthy, they live in fear of losing control. THE WARRIOR is an adept investor, focused, decisive and in control. Although Warriors will listen to advisors, they make their own decisions and rely on their instincts and resources to guide them. THE MAGICIAN The ideal money type, the Magician is empowered with past knowledge, has made peace with their history and is able to adapt to bring in income. The Magician operates with trust and is able to create their own reality. For more on the money archetypes, complete the quiz on Marnita’s website, currently under construction.
