GRILLED GRAPES WITH VANILLA AND NUTS

SERVES 4 This rich, sweet dessert is a true de­light and will sur­prise your guests. 1–2 bunches large thick-skin white grapes 2 vanilla pods 1 cup thick fresh cream 4 tbsp runny honey wal­nuts (whole or roughly crushed)

1. Place the bunches of grapes on the braai grid over a low heat. Hold­ing them by the stem, turn reg­u­larly un­til the grapes are golden brown.

2. While the grapes are cook­ing, split the vanilla pods down the cen­tre and scrape out the seeds. Stir them into the fresh cream.

3. When the grapes are ready, put them on a plat­ter and serve with the vanilla cream, honey and crushed wal­nuts.
