The winners of the annual Santam Women of the Future Awards in association with FAIRLADY and TRUELOVE were announced at an exclusive business luncheon emceed by Doreen Morris and broadcast via livestream.

It was a great honour to partner once again with Santam to celebrate some of South Africa’s top female entrepreneurs. Excitement was palpable – and tears flowed – as Mmamontsheng ‘Dulcy’ Rakumakoe of Quadcare Occupational Health was named Woman of the Future 2020; Welile Gumede of Azowel Projects took the Rising Star title; and the Social Entrepreneur award went to Carolyn Hancock of Angels’ Care Centre, Thembelihle School and The DNA Project.

Each winner received a fabulous cash prize and a media training session from Santam, a PR course from co-sponsor Lulalend, a mentoring session with the judge of their choice, a luxe beauty hamper from beauty sponsor Estée Lauder and great prizes from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, Lithotech, Samsonite, Missguided and Boschendal.

New this year was The Readers’ Choice Award, which went to Luella Naidoo of Jezriel Craig Holdings.
