Cloetedale Bonsmara Sale Highest: [BULL] R64 000

Cathcart – Cloetedale Bonsmara Stud held its annual production sale at Cloetedale Estates near Cathcart on 13 September. The highest-priced bull, SHU 16 38, was sold to Walter Schulze of Cradock for R64 000. The average price paid for bulls was R36 800.

Highest: [BULL] R88 000 Dunedin Angus and Kevlynn Hereford Bull Sale

Dordrecht – The Dunedin Angus and Kevlynn Hereford studs held their combined annual bull sale at Table Hill farm near Dordrecht on 18 September.

The highest-priced Hereford bull, Kevlynn Pandemoniu­m 637, was sold to Janbert and James Reeders of Cheviot Trust for R88 000. The Hereford bulls achieved an average of R65 400.

The highest-priced Black Angus bull, Dunedin Retort 631, was sold to OM Green of Barkly East for R85 000. The Black Angus bulls sold for an average price of R49 615.

The highest-priced Red Angus bull, Dunedin Red Recruit 680, was sold to Evenson Farms, Cathcart, for

R82 000. The average for the Red Angus bulls was R60 170.
