Loutjie Campher started breeding Charolais in 2016, and his stud has produced two champions at the Charolais Champion of the World competition.

He focuses on breeding efficient female animals that can raise calves successfully.

Campher runs a single breeding season. The calves are born in winter, when parasites are less active, and weaned in April, when feed is plentiful.
