Mega Meatmaster Production Sale

Pretoria – The Mega Meatmaster Production Sale was held online and on site at the Fire and Wine Arena on 23 April.

The highest price of the day was paid for a ram, which was sold by Charles Freeme of B3 Genetics in Pretoria to Nicky and Bianca Taljaard of Nkomane Boerdery in Rustenburg for R16 000. Rams were sold for an average price of R12 167.

The second-highest price was paid for an in-lamb ewe, which was sold by Freeme to Louise Patterson of Modimolle for R13 500. In-lamb ewes achieved an average price of R4 350. Ewes were sold for an average price of R3 620, while ewes with lambs achieved an average price of R5 005.

The sale was held by CDP Auctioneer­ing Services, with Corné du Plessis as the auctioneer.
