The US Supreme Court has ruled that a decades-old California regulation, which allows union organisers to enter agricultural properties without an employer’s consent, violates constitutional property rights.

In a case brought by two fruit companies, the court found that the regulation was akin to the government taking private property for public use without just compensation, in violation of the US Constitution’s Fifth Amendment. – Staff reporter
