Better manage data with MyPLM Connect
MyPLM Connect gives farmers a new and optimised way to manage their data and make more calculated decisions for precision farming.
There has been a lot of chatter within the agricultural community about data and data management, and how important this is to the industry. With farmers looking to make more calculated decisions, faster and more accurate, there has never been a better or easier time to jump into precision farming.
Welcome to MyPLM Connect from New Holland, an intuitive and easy-tounderstand platform to help farmers and customers alike better manage their data.
The PLM Connect portal consists of a few key data points to give users the ultimate experience. Machine connectivity, that is, telematics, will offer customers the ability to see and share their machines’ operating parameters, like machine location, hours, temperatures, ground and engine speeds, fuel consumption, diagnostics trouble codes, and much more via the web portal or any smart device app. The machine also sends amber and critical errors back to the customer’s preferred dealer via the dealer’s MyFleet portal, turning downtime around faster.
A big advantage that the MyPLM portal gives the customer is two-way data streaming and sharing. You might wonder why streaming and sharing are mentioned. It’s simple. The connected machine can share its application map back to the MyPLM portal as well as sharing it with other connected machines in the same field doing the same application. You can import existing boundaries, apply Rx maps or draw new ones with the easy-to-use polygon tool.
What is great about the portal is that it also consists of a multi-tier access system. This ensures that only users with the appropriate access levels are permitted to see certain aspects of the data. For instance, if the customer chooses, he or she could grant full access to their agronomist to read, write and upload any kind of application map.
CONNECT WITH YOUR MACHINES
Whether it be planting, spreading or spraying, these maps can be sent directly to the connected machine while in field. No more running back and forth between the field and the office to try and get the correct prescription maps on the USB. On the other end of the scale, if the customer so chooses, he can set up an operator with limited access to view the farm and the fields where work has been planned for the upcoming season.
Another big advantage is the ability set up custom notifications within the app or on the portal. For instance, if an operator is using the machine outside of certain parameters like engine speed, temperature or tillage depth for a set period, the customer will get a notification of possible issues that might occur. The customer also receives a notification 30 hours before a service is due, leading to better planned maintenance.
So, you have a mixed fleet of machines? No problem, as the MyPLM Connect portal can synchronise third-party data from most original equipment manufacturers, making it easy to use and store all your data on one convenient platform.
