Repositioning brand SA

-

SA urgently needs to revitalise the economy and realise the goals of the Economic Reconstruction and Recovery Plan (ERRP) to accelerate economic reform and create jobs. At the same time the country needs to reignite a united domestic spirit, rebuild trust and confidence in SA, and improve consumer and investor confidence.

Brand South Africa, the official marketing agency of SA, plans to rebuild SA’s brand image and reposition it as an attractive investment destination through the 5th Nation Brand Forum taking place later this month.

The Nation Brand Forum will take place on Tuesday, 28 September from 09h00 to 17h00 and will be live streamed across all of Brand South Africa’s digital platforms. www.brandsouthafrica.com.

The forum will bring together diverse stakeholders from government, organised business and civil society to reflect on the state of the nation, the socioeconomic challenges facing the country and the impact of both corruption and the pandemic. Thereafter, the focus will move to practical measures required to rebuild the economy including how to ensure collaboration between the private and public sectors, civil society and citizens. The final part of the forum will put the spotlight on how the country can reassure the world that it is able to deliver on its promises.

Minister in the Presidency, Mondli Gungubele, will deliver the keynote address. Other confirmed presenters include BUSA president, Bonang Mohale and Discovery Health CEO, Dr Ryan Noach.

Policy advisor and author, Simon Anholt and secretary general of the African Continental Free Trade Area, Wamkele Mene will be amongst those providing an international perspective on the opportunities available to SA.
