OFF THE BEATEN TRACK

After driving 130 kilometres from Giyani, Themba Chauke was thrilled to discover that Mina’s Art Café & Farm Venue is not only a worthwhile pit stop, but also the locale of Mina’s Neighbourhood Market, where he got a taste of rustic Limpopo hospitality at its best.

STANDOUT FEATURES

Created by Denise and Rob Tooley, this market aims to bring people together to enjoy high standards of food culture. As such, each stall has its own unique food offerings and signature dishes.

Situated in the mountainous landscape of the Magoebaskloof area, Mina’s Art Café & Farm Venue is encircled by lush forests that make for an awe-inspiring backdrop. The various surrounding farms – which provide most of the food products sold at the market – and the crisp fresh air are other aspects visitors love about the market.

The ideal outing for the whole family, you can bring your furry friends along as the market has a large play area for them. Water is also provided for all four-legged visitors.

INDULGE IN… Through word of mouth, flyers, Instagram and Facebook, the market attracts food lovers from around Limpopo. And it’s no wonder! With something for everyone – from proudly Limpopo-produced craft beer by Zwakala Brewery, gin and tonic on tap, estate wines, cocktails, tapas, gourmet burgers, sushi, country pizza, artisanal ice cream, bliss bowls and so much more – you’re bound to leave with a basket filled with delicious goodies.

A great way to spend your day, live music will entertain the grown-ups while a kiddies’ play area will keep the little ones busy.
