Our men and women in blue participated in a joint crime prevention operation in George and Knysna on Tuesday 13 February. Operation Lockdown took place on Tuesday morning at 05:00 at the Garden Route Mall, on the N2, in Pacaltsdorp, Thembalethu and the George CBD after which it was continued in Knysna. According to Chief Traffic Officer Quinton Williams, 431 vehicles were stopped and fines worth R126 300 were issued. A total of 17 vehicles were impounded.
