The sto­ry of le­gen­da­ry tre­a­su­re lost at Bal­lot's Bay has been pas­sed do­wn by ge­ne­ra­ti­ons of the fa­mi­ly as a firm be­lief, one which has cost a num­ber of tre­a­su­re hun­ters a small for­tu­ne.

Lyn­ne T­homp­son will gi­ve a Po­werPoint pre­sen­ta­ti­on on this e­nig­ma­tic, o­ver 200-y­e­ar-old le­gend with new in­for­ma­ti­on which may sett­le the que­s­ti­on of w­het­her it is fact or myth.

Vi­si­tors are wel­co­me to join the Ou­te­ni­qua His­to­ri­cal So­cie­ty e­ve­ning on T­hurs­day 24 May at Em­ma­üs, Me­mo­ri­um S­treet, to start at 18:00. At­ten­dees are as­ked to bring a pla­te of e­ats to be en­joy­ed af­ter the talk.
