The Garden Route is a very popular winter holiday destination with visitors from all over the country enjoying local hospitality and family fun. Residents who don’t use the bus service as part of their daily routine, may well consider joining our regular passengers by taking a joy ride to any tourism destination in town during the holidays.

Working parents don’t have to make plans to get the bored young ones to friends or places of entertainment anymore - a GO GEORGE bus could take them to the library’s holiday activities, to the tenpin bowling alley or to go see a movie at the Garden Route Mall!

Of course those visitors spending time with relatives and friends in George might like to make an outing of a bus ride to the Botanical Gardens, Transport Museum, the George Museum or some of the historic spots in Pacaltsdorp. Even tea at Fancourt is only a bus ride away, with stops nearby.

A combined tourism and bus route map is available at the George Tourism Office in York Street. This map indicates places of interest to visit, GO GEORGE bus stops and main routes around town, as well as transfer points between different routes.

All bus-related information and personal advice is available at the GO GEORGE Info Kiosk in the George Transport Hub in Cradock Street. At the GO GEORGE Call Centre, friendly agents are on duty from 05:00 - 21:30 daily. For help with trip planning, phone them on 0800 044 044.
