The­re we­re al­so b­loody tracks in the hou­se and the de­ce­a­sed was found in a pool of b­lood with a ga­ping wound on his he­ad. T­his is how Re­gi­o­nal Ma­gi­stra­te Pu­me­la Yo­no des­cri­bed the sce­ne w­he­re Ernst Hart­nick (54) was mur­de­red by his nep­hew, Brandon S­tal­mees­ter (25) from Pa­calts­dorp. S­tal­mees­ter, a fat­her of two young child­ren, was found guil­ty of Hart­nick’s mur­der on Wed­nes­day af­ter­noon 27 Ju­ne and short­ly the­re­af­ter sen­ten­ced to 15 y­e­ars im­pri­son­ment.
