Friday evening presents the flagship event, the "George Herald Run with the Stars" night run. This event is not to be missed, offering a superb 10km route through the Loerie Park and Eden neighbourhoods. If the 10km is a little too daunting, there will also be a 3km fun run/walk offering loads of prizes to those dressed to the theme "Space Race". Preentries are open at www.edenxperience. co.za.

Saturday morning offers the

Sportsman's Warehouse Trail Run, with routes varying between 18km and 9km winding through picturesque private forests and farmlands. Trail runners who are still starting out, can opt for the 5km route. Don't forget to pre-enter at www. edenxperience.co.za and obtain automatic entry into the Pentravel Holiday Competition. This lucky draw gives you the chance to win a 7-night holiday in Phuket for two adults and one child. It includes flights from Johannesburg, 4-star accommodation, airport taxes, return transfers and daily breakfasts, all proudly sponsored by Pentravel. You can also enter at the Pentravel stall on Saturday.

Don't miss out on the food stalls and entertainment that will help you ease into Friday evening from 17:00 onwards. The food stalls will also be open on Saturday morning to make sure you are ready for the day's events. The Kids Fun Park will be open throughout the festival to ensure the little ones can have their fill of the fun.

The second Xtreme Waterpolo tournament will be in full swing from Friday morning through Saturday afternoon at the Glenwood House School's aquatic centre. The tournament will showcase an exciting weekend of sportsmanship.

Glenwood House School will also host over 600 preparatory participants in the annual Hockey Festival. The event draws competitors from the Western, Eastern and Southern Cape and promises to show some high intensity action throughout the weekend.

Saturday afternoon will host the brandnew Local Tourism Expo. This expo aims to guide us through the many wonders on offer in the Garden Route, and to give us a few more ideas on things to do in our paradise.

The Oakhurst Insurance Eden Xperience helps our community by channelling a portion of all proceeds to the charity causes of our main sponsors, Oakhurst Insurance and the George Herald. The festival also aims to support Glenwood House School's policy of reducing, reusing and recycling waste wherever possible.
