The heat is on

Almost 800 000 Grade 12 learners across the country started writing their 2018 National Senior Certificate (NSC) final examinations on Tuesday 23 October. In George, everything went off without a glitch, as all arrangements were in place. The matrics had to keep their cool for their first exam, English Paper 1, as the Garden Route experienced a sweltering heat wave on Tuesday.

English Paper 1 is the first exam of the finals to be written by the majority of the matrics in the country. English paper 1 tests comprehension, summarizing skills, visual literacy and language in context.
