A wo­man (51) who al­le­ged she had been ra­ped by four men in po­li­ce u­ni­forms, was ar­res­ted at her ho­me in Blan­co last F­ri­day 2 No­vem­ber. The po­li­ce had es­ta­blis­hed t­hat her claims a­bout being de­tai­ned, d­rug­ged and ra­ped af­ter she was pul­led off the ro­ad ne­ar G­len­ta­na by four men in po­li­ce u­ni­forms and ba­la­cla­vas, are fal­se. She has been char­ged with fraud, per­ju­ry and ob­structi­on of jus­ti­ce. Po­li­ce spo­kes­per­son Capt Mal­colm Po­jie said be­cau­se of the se­ri­ous na­tu­re of the al­le­ga­ti­ons and the im­pli­ca­ti­ons for the po­li­ce for­ce, ma­ny re­sour­ces had been rol­led out to in­ves­ti­ga­te, in­clu­ding spe­ci­a­list u­nits.
