Life’s spring market connects people

-

Life Community Services embarked on connecting communities by holding a spring market on Saturday 27 October at their Parkdene property.

A festive morning embraced folk from different businesses, churches, non-governmental organisations and neighbourhoods who connected and had fellowship together for the morning.

A beautiful coffee shop was set up in the tent, providing assorted refreshments and delicious dishes and cakes.

One of the highlights was the informal performances by local talent on the pop-up stage, to the delight of the crowd.

Stalls included fresh vegetables from the Life food gardens, handcrafted products from Isipho and pallet furniture, all of which are made by the staff of Life Community Services.

Pancakes were baked by the staff of Life Christian Academy and handmade paper and kids' gifts were created by the staff of Life Happy Feet Learning Centre.

"We intend to make this a regular event in the community to provide a beautiful meeting place over a weekend and to expand the work that is being done by Life," says Life director

Sally Versveld.
