Record-breaking SPCA bingo evening
The Garden Route SPCA's bingo evening on Friday 7 December had more attendees than ever before. Eighty six people played the 18 fun games, hoping to win the hampers that were up for grabs as prizes.
Heather Church, SPCA committee member, thanks the George Bowling Club for the use of their facilities for the quarterly bingo evenings, as well as the volunteers who cooked and provided the food throughout the year and those that helped serve and clean up afterwards. "The meals have brought in a lot of money during 2018 and our best ever total was last Friday," she says.
A bumper evening was had by all. "It could not have happened without all of our volunteers. Our sincere gratitude is offered to Di Kershaw who does the light-hearted calling at the bingo evenings," says Church.
