Spongy pantomime sure to entertain the family

-

Every December, holidaymakers look forward to the pantomime hosted at the Oakhurst Insurance George Arts Theatre. This year the show was inspired by a well-known spongy character who lives under the sea... you probably guessed right - Spongebob! A Very Spongy Pantomime will entertain kids and parents alike.

The George Arts Theatre opened its doors in April 1969, which means it will celebrate its 50th birthday in 2019. It is owned by the George Society of Arts, an amateur dramatics society started in 1945. The theatre has a long history of putting on plays and many whole families have grown up on its stage. So much goes into putting a show together, most of it behind the scenes - but at the George Arts Theatre, FUN is the key ingredient!
