Bi­kers ta­ke hands for fel­low trooper

Bi­kers from va­ri­ous clubs in the a­rea, and so­me from as far as Car­le­ton­vil­le, joi­ned for­ces on Sa­tur­day af­ter­noon, 15 De­cem­ber, to rai­se mo­ney for a friend and fel­low bi­ker from Ge­or­ge, Mi­cha­el A­ve­nant.

A­ve­nant sus­tai­ned mul­ti­ple in­ju­ries in an ac­ci­dent with his bi­ke at the Li­on Ral­ly in Cra­dock on 30 No­vem­ber. No ot­her ve­hi­cles we­re in­vol­ved.

A­bout 120 bi­kers and friends gat­he­red at Mo­tor­cy­cle Mad­ness in Mit­chell S­treet for a braai and so­me fun and ga­mes whi­le rai­sing mo­ney for A­ve­nant's me­di­cal cos­ts. A­bout R20 000 was rai­sed.

At the ti­me of going to print A­ve­nant was Ben­nie S­teen­e­kamp (Mo­tor­cy­cle Mad­ness) and At­ho­ny Di­va­ris en­joying the vi­be. still in a hos­pi­tal in Port E­li­za­beth. If he re­co­vers suf­fi­cient­ly, he will be trans­fer­red to the Ge­or­ge Hos­pi­tal for furt­her re­co­ve­ry.
