Workers not allowed to ask for Christmas treats

- Eugene Gunning

Residents must be aware that municipal employees are not allowed to ask for fees or a Christmas present when servicing properties.

According to a statement by the George Municipality, workers do not have permission or right to ask for such fees or presents. Any such action can lead to disciplinary action if found guilty.

Should workers approach you in this regard, please take the CAW license registration of the vehicle as well as the GM number on the door of the vehicle and, if possible, the name of the vehicle's driver.

Refuse workers that are guilty of this can be reported to Community Services at 82 Meade Street / 044 802 2900 / 083 644 1292 / 082 079 0790.
