The George Municipality wishes every resident, worker and visitor a wonderful holiday season.
Thank you to all municipal staff for your service over the past year. I commend you for your commitment, often under trying circumstances. Special thanks to the essential and emergency services staff who will not stop working during the holiday to ensure that our town keeps running at this busy time.
Thank you to the George Municipal Council for their service, time and commitment to their town and communities over the past year. May you enjoy your break and return to council rejuvenated and inspired.
For those who are celebrating Christmas, may it be a blessed event. I trust we will all have a safe, peaceful and joyous festive season and a great New Year.
With the national elections facing South Africa in 2019, it is bound to be a busy and eventful year. The municipality remains committed to serving its communities to the best of its ability with the resources available to it. We love this town as much as you do and want to see it prosper.
