George is leading the SWD Premier club cricket league after scoring two emphatic victories last weekend. George first defeated Pacaltsdor­p United by 8 wickets on Saturday and followed it up with a 7-wicket win over Pioneers on Sunday. George are now the new log leader after they surpassed Union Stars, despite the defending champions' victory of 6 wickets against NMU Madibaz. Western Hope (55/2) gave the aspiration­s of Harlequins (52 all out) to reach the play-off rounds a massive blow when they were victorious by 8 wickets. NMU Madibaz recorded an important 6-wicket victory against Harlequins on Sunday.
