Eskom meeting postponed
The 18 February meeting between business, George Municipality and Eskom regarding the impact of load shedding on local manufacturing businesses has been postponed to 19 March.
According to Ingrid Cronjé, George Business Chamber CEO, more businesses than expected have responded to an invitation to the meeting, but some of the big stakeholders will not be able to meet on the original date.
The George Herald published an article last week regarding the increasing pressure on local manufacturing plants due to load shedding. The Chamber has initiated a process to have talks with Eskom and the municipality to find solutions.
Businesses interested to attend the discussion on 19 March, may phone the Chamber's office on 044 874 3349 or send an e-mail to Ingrid Cronjé at ceo@ georgechamber.co.za.
