Food, shelter for the destitute
Rosemoor Sport Stadium has been outfitted as a temporary shelter. Currently, 30 persons are housed in the clubhouse and 43 more in the sporting arena, where security and provisions are being supplied.
The George Night Shelter continues to accommodate its maximum number of persons allowed.
George Department of Social Services has issued a registration form (http://bit. ly/CAW_Relief_Assistance) for the public, NGOs and companies to register their willingness to donate non-perishable items and goods that can be redistributed to the vulnerable communities and homeless

DRAFT REVIEWED 2020/2021 INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT (IDP) THE 2020/2021 MEDIUM TERM REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE FRAMEWORK AND MULTIYEAR BUDGET
Notice is hereby given that the Garden Route District Municipal Council’s Draft Reviewed Integrated Development Plan for the period 2020/2021, the Medium Term Revenue and Expenditure Framework as well as the Multi-Year Budget for the period 2020/20212022/2023, were compiled in accordance with the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act 2000 (Act 32 of 2000) and Municipal Finance Management Act 2003 (Act 56 of 2003)
These documents were considered by the Garden Route District Municipality at a District Council meeting held on Wednesday, 25 March 2020.
These documents will be available for public inspection and comments on the GRDM municipal website www.gardenroute.gov.za from 27 March 2020.
All comments and inputs must be directed to “The Municipal Manager, Garden Route District Municipality, 54 York Street, George 6530”
The public has 21 days to comment on the aforementioned documents from the publication date of this notice.

Soup kitchens
The Department of Social Development administration offices are closed during lockdown. The municipality continues to support 130 municipal soup kitchens, where strict social distancing and hygienic practices apply. The municipality is working with the Western Cape Department of Social Development to address matters arising with people living on the streets.
