Illegal dumping in one of South Africa’s most historic passes, the Montagu Pass just outside George, has been increasing in past weeks. Dumping occurs near the road and in the area of the Old Toll House. Complaints have also been received of vandalism. Garden Route District Municipality, that is responsible for the area, has indicated that the matter is receiving attention.
