ABOUT THE AUTHOR

A former Getaway editor, and holder of a master’s degree in environmental sciences, David Bristow has travelled all over the world. His first book, back in 1985, was about the mountains of South Africa, and since then he’s written more than 20 about the places he’s been and the people he’s met on this continent.
