The official currency is US dollars but more than 90 per cent of all transactions now take place electronically, with little hard cash changing hands. On the black market, $1 can be converted into at least $1,50 (jokingly referred to as ‘zollars’). So, while the price of almost everything seems high, you can get a massive discount if you’re able to change forex into ‘zollars’ and spend those.
