OUT AND ABOUT
‘Just off Marine Drive there are very nice walks at Cape Recife, along the beach in rough, raw coastal nature [permit required, 041-506-1423]. I love seeing the penguins – Sanccob has a rescue and rehab station there [tours R40pp, 041-583-1830]. There are also penguins at Bayworld Oceanarium. It has no dolphins anymore but you can get up close to the seals. And the snakes.’ Corner of Beach Road and Brookes Hill Drive, 041-584-0650
