Sunday Getaway perfection

Sunday morning, blissful blue-sky day, perfect for a spontaneous family outing to Cape Point. We picked up my mum, Jen, whoʼs always ready to be ʻout the doorʼ for an adventure. A quick stop en-route to stock up on the familyʼs favourite brunch ingredients and I was delighted to find the latest issue of Getaway to add to my basket. It was a breathtakingly beautiful day at the Point. Families dotted along the coastlines with braais lit, some with snorkel gear or kayaks to add to the fun. Just in front of us, beyond the kelp forest, a seal appeared proudly carrying his catch and proceeded to devour it with much splashing about.

With coffees in hand and the sizzling smell of bacon, I spotted my mum had found the latest issue and was happily settled in for a leisurely read. Sunday perfection!
