When Christmas becomes Easter
When a child looks forward to a holiday, you donʼt want to be the one to tell them the holiday has been cancelled. Thankfully, ʻdelayedʼ went down much better. Weʼre grateful to our hosts at Woodcutters Bush Camp in Wilderness for kindly moving our holiday dates due to the December beach closures. Our Easter break there was an absolute treat.
Wilderness enticed us with the beautiful hikes, canoeing and the immense stretch of beach. I wish I had night vision to be able to identify the multitude of bird species we heard. I wonʼt even mention the number of Knysna loeries we saw. Look up, thereʼs another one! Wilderness will certainly be seeing us again. Thatʼsa promise my kids can hold me to.
