Unexpected task
The majority of our guests at Marebella Seafront Guesthouse in De Kelders, near Gansbaai in the Western Cape, are from all over Europe. They come here to watch whales and enjoy the magnificent nature in our area. In our guest rooms, we provide magazines of all sorts. Among them, of course, is Getaway. Some of our guests are so inspired by the stunning photographs and interesting reads that I now have the task of organising copies to be sent to some of our guestsʼ homes. Sometimes, editions of your magazine are taken back by guests who live in the same country as other guests, which they then kindly forward via their local postal service. Itʼs a task I certainly did not foresee but which makes me proud of what our beautiful country offers to our precious visitors. Besides other countless readers, Iʼm convinced that the monthly publication of Getaway continuously provides inspiration for new destinations to explore. Gerhard Pirker De Kelders
