Stay Here

WE STAYED ONLY IN HOMESTAYS and found the accommodation to be simple but superb. Although there are no frills (you’ll share a hut with your whole group; toilets are long-drops and you’ll need to bathe from a bucket), the host families take great care and pride in making sure guests are comfortable. Breakfasts and dinners are hearty, with most ingredients grown in the hosts’ gardens. From R450 to R500 per person per night, including all meals. Book through map.wildcoastza.co.za

Do this

WILDCOASTZA’S INTERACTIVE MAP allows you to “look” around the area (which is brilliant for helping to plan your trip) and take a 360-degree tour of the coastline’s hotels and homestays. You can also see the region’s attractions, and connect directly with the guides who’ll help you get there. To truly immerse yourself in all the Wild Coast has to offer, travelling with a guide is invaluable, and having the opportunity to learn more about the flora, fauna and culture of the Wild Coast will take your trip to the next level. Guide rates are about R500 to R750 a day; senior guides charge about R1 000 a day. To book a guide, visit map.wildcoastza.co.za
