South Africaʼs first black freediving instructor, Zandi is a storyteller, conservationist, public speaker, emerging filmmaker and founder of the Black Mermaid Foundation. Sheʼs been a self-confessed ocean-addict since 2016, and spends every minute convincing others to get a healthy dose of vitamin-sea. Through her foundation, she works to create diversity in ocean spaces by changing narratives and encouraging people of all backgrounds to get into the water. Sheʼs so cool, she even has a shark named after her.
