GLAMOUR confidential

- Pnina Fenster, editor

three words we love: individualistic, stylish, indulgent. Three words we don’t: scrimp, downgrade, dull. All of which brings us to the three-word theme of this issue: Luxe for less. The reason for the ‘less’ part is pretty obvious: Unless you are staggeringly wealthy, o the grid and growing your own food, or so abstemious that you are practically a saint, you will surely have emerged from the supermarket or mall, shaking your head and wondering how things got so pricy (including the trip to the supermarket). No surprises then when economists advise us to think straight, pare back and cut down.

On the other hand, it’s exactly when times are tough that we long for the comforting and the lavish. The solution? Luxe for less!

Think fashion director-approved buys that look designer but so are not, skincare and makeup brands that chose results over packaging and dreamily-priced scents. The idea is mindfulness and conscious consumption – and small treats that make us feel millions.

As you are about to discover, the GLAMOUR team has ventured far and wide to find buys that really won’t break the bank. There’s plenty of inspo, too, starting on this page.

After that, there are just two more things to do: Remember how hugely blessed we are, compared to so many others. And celebrate what is truly beyond price and the most luxe of all – our loves, our lives, our unique style and ourselves, as we – Live the life. Fill it with GLAMOUR!
