Mulberry’s house of mirrors
When Spanish designer Johnny Coca presented his first collection for Mulberry at London Fashion Week in February last year, it had been more than two years since the embattled fashion brand’s last show. He needed a clean slate, and that’s exactly what his runway represented.
The venue was the grand but stark Guildhall, fitted out with a tower of mirror shards.
The result was striking, with models’ reflections bouncing off the surfaces as they walked, giving the audience multi-angled views of Johnny’s designs. The sub-text of that set: watch this space.
