Try this Ayurvedic-in­spired morn­ing rou­tine to in­crease en­ergy and get in touch with your senses, so you can en­gage pos­i­tively with the world and the sump­tu­ous­ness of life.

• Be­gin by go­ing to bed early, so you can wake early, too. • Lie still for a few mo­ments to con­nect with your guts be­fore your mind and body start rac­ing. • When you get out of bed, walk to the bath­room and be con­scious of how your feet feel and are touch­ing the earth. • Wash your hands, face, eyes, nose, mouth and tongue. • Drink some wa­ter. • Spend a few min­utes fo­cus­ing on each of your five senses. Look at some­thing beau­ti­ful; lis­ten to some­thing pleas­ing; smell, taste and touch things that make you feel good and happy.
