Hair to dye for

Garnier nutrisse is back in the game with two well-known faces.

-

Leading hair colour brand in SA Garnier Nutrisse announced Jeannie D and Minki van der Westhuizen as their two new brand ambassadors in March. Theresa van Rooyen, Garnier brand marketing manager, tells us everything you need to know, here!

The announcement

We’re thrilled to have two well-known South African women on the forefront of our brand. We’ve chosen to go with ambassadors, as we want to continue to stay relevant to our current consumers and also encourage new consumers to opt for Garnier Nutrisse when it comes to at-home hair colour.

Find what complements your brand

Both Minki and Jeannie have been part of the Garnier Nutrisse family before, thus making them synonymous with the brand for many local women. They are also seen as sincere and credible in the SA market. These were the determining factors for us at Garnier, to ensure that they were aligned correctly.

According to local research, South African women consider Jeannie and Minki to be two of the most sincere and aspirational influencers in the country, which is translated through our brand. The individual identities and personalities of the two are linked to the Nutrisse equity. They also each have their own signature shades. Minki’s signature blonde hue is Nutrisse Crème 10.01 and Jeannie’s rich brown is Nutrisse Crème 4 ½.

The colour diff erence

Many South African women are in search for a hair colour that nourishes their hair without compromising the colour. When it comes to colouring your hair at home it can often be intimidating and a dull process. Our aim is to bring back the fun element into at-home hair dying.

The successors

Marketing isn’t just about getting a message out to consumers. It’s also important to identify local consumer needs and ensuring that we meet them successfully. We also want to educate consumers around hair colour. We want to continue to be part of the lives of many women and be a brand that they trust to eliminate any fear of colouring hair at home.

Colour prep

To get the best results when colouring your hair, there are guidelines you must follow before diving in:

Always evaluate the current state of your hair as well as the condition of your current colour.

It’s critical to know what results you’re aiming for when it comes to application: do you want shine? Want to cover greys? More intense pigments?

Most people don’t think it’s necessary, but it’s advisable to do a safety test 48 hours before you apply colour on the rest of your hair.
