Mother’s Day high tea
Celebrating moms and mother figures at a starstudded event was the perfect way to thank them.
Inside our star-studded Mother’s Day event
We hosted our annual Glamour Mother’s Day High Tea at Mall of Africa’s Crystal Court, in partnership with BBC Lifestyle and Revlon South Africa. Mothers were treated to a full day of fun, giveaways and heartwarming conversations. This year’s event was attended by no shortage of inspirational, dynamic women who were more than deserving of being spoilt.
Glamour editor-in-chief Asanda Sizani, who wore Mmuso Maxwell, hosted the event. Six celebrity mom-and-daughter duos took to the stage to talk about their bond, and share their style and beauty tips, passed down from generation to generation. The audience mingled with guest speakers such as TV personality and recording artist Boity Thulo, actresses Linda Mtoba and Sophie Lichaba, eNCA news anchor Heidi Giokos, and actress and entrepreneur Enhle Mbali Maphumulo. Lucky Bread served great food, drinks were courtesy of Bombay Sapphire and Martini, and Revlon treated mothers to a manicure. And to top it off, there were performances by Princess The DJ and singer-songwriter Melo B, which set the mood for a perfect afternoon.
