ED'S LETTER

-

The pandemic has changed how we wear and maintain our hair. I’ve been alternating between braids and wearing my hair natural, which has done wonders for preserving my hairline and general growth.

Working from home gives me more time to properly wash and deep condition my hair. I’m also seeing more people on social media experimenting with bold mermaid colours and cuts.

For your ease of reference, this issue of Glamour Hair is divided into mini sections catering for all hair types and textures: weaves, wigs, protective styles, dreadlocks, Afros and straight and sleek. Inside, you’ll find all sorts of helpful information, tips and tricks for maintaining a healthy head of hair. And, who knows: you might find your next cool hairstyle!

We also feature our favourite hair products, gadgets and on-trend accessories to inspire your next Zoom meeting look or complement your work outfits. The Glamour team and several hair experts provide helpful insights and advice on taking care of your hair – no matter how you choose to wear it.

Another thing to look forward to is our upcoming Glamour Hair Masterclass event at the beginning of July in Joburg. Hair and industry experts, hairstylists and influencers will gather under one roof for a jampacked day of hair talk, product sales and sessions by some of the best hair artists.

Enjoy the issue, and see you at the Glamour Hair Masterclass!
