The best way to get a sense of the scale of the Okavango Delta is from the sky. Several operators offer scenic flights from the Maun airport, usually in Cessnas or other small aircraft that can carry 4 – 6 people.
It might seem expensive, but if you divide the rate between four or more people it’s fairly affordable.
Save up for a flight because it’s really worth it! Within minutes of taking off you’ll see the Delta spread out below.
