Flying Fox

You wear a harness connected to a steel cable and “fly” across the 200 m-wide Batoka Gorge. You’ll be required to run from the back of the wooden platform to gain some momentum.

When you reach the end of the platform, stretch out your arms and soar through the air – like a flying fox! The Zambezi River is 120 m below. Rate: US$42 per person (R600). Contact: 00 263 13 44571;

Zipline

The zipline (also over Batoka Gorge) is 425 m long. You’re strapped into a harness and onto the line. As you slide, you’ll reach speeds of up to 106 km/h. The more you weigh, the further you’ll go. You’ll eventually start to lose momentum.

When you finally come to a standstill, the guides will reel you back to the starting point. Rate: US$69 per person (R980). Contact: 00 263 13 44571;
