How does it tow?
We towed the Lion’s Cub with a Volkswagen Amarok V6 (totally OTT, we know). Thanks to the Cub’s low mass it doesn’t require overrun brakes, and with its low profile it barely feels like it’s on the tow bar, even during windy conditions. You only notice the weight once you brake, but it doesn’t feel like a heavy trailer pushing against your vehicle – it’s more like 15 bags of cement on the back of a bakkie. The trailer performs well on highways, and it’s only when you hit a pothole at high speed that the Cub bucks slightly. You have to take extra care on dirt roads though because the Cub is prone to fishtailing when you go round a bend too fast.
