2015 NISSAN PATHFINDER 2.5 DCI

All he ever really needed was enough power to tow comfortably, and Braam Venter from Kempton Park seems to have found it.

I’ve been hitching my 2014 Sprite Tourer SW to the back of the Pathfinder ever since I bought the Nissan new for R680 000 in 2015. It’s been fitted with a Bosal tow bar. I’d gladly have the new Nissan Patrol, but that’s a bit out of my reach at the moment. The Pathfinder is actually kitted out quite well with creature comforts and as a bonus handles itself quite well on dirt roads. Unfortunately, the fuel consumption is rather high at around 12 ℓ/100 km without the Sprite hitched. The plus side is that it doesn’t increase much when I’m towing – around 13 ℓ/100 km. The Pathfinder tows the Sprite at 110 km/h without any real effort. My favourite destination with this combination is definitely the Almega Caravan Park near Hammanskraal. It even has private ablution facilities, large stands, green lawns, and fantastic service from the owners.
