The tow bar The hitch doesn’t come standard, and you’re not allowed to exceed the nose weight of 100 kg. Volkswagen does recommend a nose weight as close as possible to 100 kg. Weight 1 960 kg with a full tank of petrol and the driver in the car.
The combination weight was 3 060 kg. Interior Two fingers above your head in the front seat and the same space above your head in the backseat. You can fit a whole hand in front of your knees. Speed The GPS showed 96 km/h while the speedometer was at 100 km/h. Fuel consumption Considering how sophisticated the Tiguan is with all its electronics it’s quite odd that our calculations differed so much from the computer’s, which put the consumption at 14,6 ℓ/100 km (6,8 km/ℓ), as opposed to our 12,3 ℓ/100 km (8,1 km/ℓ). Finishes Predominantly dark, angular, solid and stylish. Extras Panoramic sunroof R12 206, the Head-up Display R9 180, Active Info Display R8 675 and Adaptive cruise control R5 094.

Don’t tow with the Allspace in the first 1 000 km. Inflate the tyres to their maximum pressure when you tow.
