Exploring the world with a Sprite Tourer in tow, Trevor Geldenhuys from Velddrif also doesn’t miss a good photo opportunity at home.

“We live 100m from the Berg River, and take our four-legged daughter Bella for a walk every evening. By 5.30pm, she starts dancing around in anticipation for the walk by the river. On this day, the water was like a mirror, and the sky filled with the most beautiful colours I simply had to capture. “What a privilege to live so close to the river, with nature on our doorstep.” Trevor’s image reflects the same peaceful atmosphere as Desiré’s, although it differs vastly. Even though the photo was snapped in nature, all the elements that attract your attention are man-made. It feels as if the jetty floats in the sky, underlining the bright orange light. You can almost see how people would walk on the deck from the right before reaching the closed gate. The jetty is obviously not open to the public, but we can all enjoy this gorgeous pic of it.
