Conqueror and the Recces join forces
The off-road caravan manufacturer Conqueror approached the guys from Recce Incorporated (Pty) Ltd. to assist with further development of their offroad trailer and caravans. Philip de Vries, Conqueror’s managing director, says he’s excited about the prospect of making their products even better.
SASMA is the official member organisation for the veterans of the South African Special Forces. The organisation’s aim is to support veterans, and with this in mind, Recce Inc. was established to use the Recce brand for commercial purposes.
Callie Roos, the CEO of Recce Inc., says they chose Conqueror as a partner because they share the same values and because of the manufacturer’s proud tradition of quality.
It’s not unfamiliar territory for Conqueror. The company started in the 1990s as manufacturer of specialist military gear. They’ve been building offroad caravans since 1998.
Meanwhile, Conqueror has bought 20 computerised assembly robots to make their production line even more streamlined. These purchases have made the caravan manufacturer one of the most advanced production lines in the country, because these machines can weld, move plates around for the punch, laser cutting and bending machines, add strips of glue, and pick up and join panels.
