New canopy manufacturer

One person that has already made his mark in the caravan and canopy industry has started a new venture in Cape Town’s northern suburbs that specialises in aluminium.

Riaan Botha of Cape Town has already designed a new roof tent and canopy, and he also manufactures, among other items, drawers for storage space, fridge/freezer frames, bakkie-camper conversions and all sorts of other alterations to motorhomes and caravans. The name of his business is Rugged Design.

Riaan and his dad, Fanie, founded the company Eko Veld Gear 12 years ago, and they were well known for canopies and later the Armadillo off-road caravan range. Eko Veld Gear was sold last year.
