Torque-vectoring differential

-

A torque-vectoring differential is a next-level McGuffin that employs several sensors to monitor the road, accelerator position, steering wheel position, suspension, tyre pressure and all sorts of other factors.

A computer then calculates how much torque is sent to which wheel. It’s something that’s already employed in high-performance SUVs, but because it’s so complicated and expensive, it’s still only used on tar roads – it hasn’t proven itself in the rough yet.
